Millburn - Short Hills

Millburn, which shares a school district with Short Hills, is perhaps best known for being consistently ranked amongst the top school districts in the state. With a population of close to 20,000, the Township offers a wide variety of recreation programs, including a Community Pool and a Par 3 Golf Course, making the community appealing for families. In addition, the Township has many fine restaurants as well the upscale Short Hills Mall.  Millburn Township is unique in that it offers high-end shopping along with quaint small town shopping of a traditional downtown. 

Millburn offers a great commute with its midtown direct train station and new parking structure to accommodate the growing population. Taylor Park features a big playground, duck pond, and huge park grounds great for picnics and Frisbee. The housing stock is varied, mostly older homes built in the 1920’s and 30’s, and under $1M. There are several great restaurants including Millburn Standard, Pita on Essex, Common Lot, and the famous Millburn Deli.  Millburn is also home to one of the most critically acclaimed regional theaters, Paper Mill Playhouse

Short Hills, considered to be one of the most affluent suburbs in NJ, offers stately palatial homes as well as new construction, many of which are within walking distance to the Short Hills train station. Prices range from slightly under $1M and can go up to $8M or more.
